Next Destinies set: lots of juicy info revealed!!

Lots of juicy Pokemon TCG info revealed, including Next Destinies set info!

NOTE:- Please remember that some of this information is NOT 100% reliable!

THIS SET HAS BEEN CONFIRMED AS A LEGAL ONE BY POKEMON.
CONFIRMED RELEASE DATE:- 8th February 2012

Hellooo Pokemon lovers! I have yet another amazing blog entry with a little info about some other stuff (you'll get what I mean about this later on! xD), but the main thing this entry's about is the most talked about upcoming set, Next Destinies!!

So it's the 3rd set in the Black & White era (excluding the base set), and it seems like an awesome one! The main thing that everyone's talking about, the main gossip, the main reason for excitement, is the return of EXs!!! It's bound to put a huge, awesome spin on the current legal format, so there's bound to be some new, awesome decks as well! They've also shown that this is the return of EXs by emphasizing the 'X' in 'Next'. This set is also the equilvalent to Japan's Psycho Drive/Hail Blizzard, and if you're a PokéTuber like myself, you'll have noticed quite a few of these booster boxes being opening so we all ready have a small idea of how great the EX card art is!

A whole lot of stuff has been revealed by multiple sources (see end of post for links), including pack art and EX card art. We're seeing these spread about in separate articles, as new stuff's being revealed day by day, but we have quite a lot of information not to put in one huge bulging entry!

So onto he packs first of all, and these pack arts are legit, as they are listed on the official Pokemon site. The official release date has also been confirmed to be 8th February 2012, so I'd expect the pre releases to be mid-late January. Anywho, here are the pack arts!
(From right - left) We have a Mewtwo pack, Regigigas, Reshiram and Zekrom. Reshiram and Zekrom seem to have been made to seem alot more powerful in this set, and I Mewtwo seems to be the main Pokémon of this set. Also, note how we have Regigigas and Mewtwo in this set - to name a few - who aren't from the Unova region. So not only do we have the return of EXs, but we also have the return of some beloved, older Pokémon! So these pack arts look pretty awesme to say the least!!

Now, onto the promotional packs, and at the moment we only have the two theme decks a mini blister - well, I say only, I mean, we're lucky to have them, thanks to Banter toys and PokeCollection! The theme decks, again, make Reshiram and Zekrom look really powerful with this awesome art work, as they are the main Pokémon on these theme decks. Also, the mini blister contains 2 packs and 2 cards- Beartic and Cubchoo.

Now, drum roll please, as we go onto... THE EX CARDS!!! :D I'm not sure if I'm missing one, as on an advertisement image for Next Destinies it says 6 EX cards, but I could only find 5, 1 of which, Regigigas, has not yet be translated to English.
They look pretty awesome right!?! :D If I'm honest, I can't pick a favourite... they all look awesome!! I also have a review for each of these cards, or will have, so go check them out!

Now, just a small thing aside from Next Destinies - there's also been a revelation of yet another Black & White set! However it is only a mini one, but it brings yet another huge change in Pokemon TCG that will go down in PTCG history! That set is Dragon Selection, which will bring Dragon type Pokemon into the TCG!

As you can see from the above images (from Pokebeach.com) the Dragon type symbol has been revealed, along with the Japanese booster box. There are all sorts of Pokémon, and just like the upcoming Next Destinies set, they're not only from the 5th generation! According to Bulbapedia, the release date for this set is 27th January, which is just over a week before Next Destinies.

So, that's it for this huge post bursting with the latest, most exciting Pokemon Trading Card Game news!! I hope you found this interesting, and I should have a video about this on YouTube shortly if you'd rather watch/listen that read. :P

Thanks a bunch for reading!

PokéBeach releases Noble Victories card scans!!

The Noble Victories pre release events have been happening throughout the weekend - and woah do I wish I'd gone! xD (I haven't participated in any tournaments or anything yet, as I feel I haven't got enough experience with the TCG yet, nor the right cards to create a good deck with). So, as with every pre release, you're lucky enough to get a few booster packs of the upcoming set. In this case, Noble Victories! So, thanks to the lovely pre release attenders, and members of PokéBeach, we have all but one (Cobalion full art #100) cards scans! Check out the link to PokéBeach to check them out:

http://pokebeach.com/2011/10/90-noble-victories-scans

So, they're missing the Cobalion full art (see right), but I managed to find the Japanese version on SixPrizes.com, and it looks pretty neat!

From the card scans PokéBeach gave us, it reveals a whole lot of things about Noble Victories, such as how many holos, etc. I think I can just about gather these from the images... though I may be wrong about some and miss some out. I'll list everything below, if you find anything else let me know! (Lolage, that rhymes! xD);

Key:
Grass Fire Water Lightning Psychic Fighting Dark Steel Normal Trainer-Supporter

11 Holos:
  • Leavanny
  • Virizion
  • Victini
  • Kyurem
  • Eelektross
  • Victini
  • Terrakion
  • Landorus
  • Hydreigon
  • Cobalion
  • Haxorus

5 Full Arts:
  • Virizion
  • Fire Victini
  • Terrakion
  • N
  • Cobalion

1 Secret Rare:
  • Meowth
So, the set's looking really, really nice! And, unlike the past Black& White sets where we had 2, we have not 2, not 3, not 4, but 5 full arts!! The whole set has 101 cards, and the reverse patterns seem to be continuing from Emerging Powers, with the energy symbols. So, I reckon that's all the news we'll be getting for Noble Victories 'til it comes out (apart from the English version of the Cobalion full art, maybe?). Can you believe it's less than a month away!? I certainly can't wait!

So, thanks for reading, but before I go, check out my recent vid of me opening a Super Snivy Box and one or two extras! I also really need your feedback; I used 2 cameras during the video and need to know whichh one you think I should use. The first one I used is 720p, but it doesn't have a close up mode which is pretty annyoing. However the one that does have close up mode is 360p (or 480p? Not sure...) and I'm at a loss as to which one to use... so yeah, vote on my poll!

What to do...

So this blog's kinda empty and I can't think what to do!! I do a video weekly but I'm thinking of making a weekly, maybe daily, series on this blog. I'm considering doing a card review series and getting a bit of experience with it, but I wanna know what you think. Should I do this? Do you have some other cool ideas? All this I'll be doing for you, so, of course, I'm going to want to do something you guys are interested in!

Thanks for your support!

Noble Victories set!

Black & White: Noble Victories set information confirmed!
Confirmed release date: 16th November 2011

Just as we're adjusting ourselves to Emerging Powers, a new set is coming soon! There have been rumours of this set (and there are even rumours of a set after Noble Victories now! But I'll cover that in another blog post) and now the set is on the Pokémon official website, so we know the set's a-go-go! I'm especially loving this set already, as it has many of my favourite Pokémon from Black & White, and ones I've used in the game. And, as always, they've introduced something new - the first ultra rare trainer card! (And code cards, first introduced in Emerging Powers). I managed to find a loada' information about the set on Bulbapedia and PokéBeach, including a Japanese version of the card (right), but let's remember we can't rely this is what it actually looks like!

Booster Packs
So, let's check out the pack designs! These are confirmed on the official Pokémon site, and they have Victini, Kyurem, Hydreigon and Druddigon. (See below for the designs).
I've left this blog a little late because (not only did I forget! xD ) we have more stuff confirmed than we would have done the early days the set itself was confirmed. So, we've got a lot more of the less seen Pokémon from this Black & White set, and I find this more exciting. The reason being is because, as a Pokémon Black & White gamer, I've been across many of these Pokémon and actually they are my strongest. Druddigon, for example, is one of my strongest and favourite, along with Deino, Mienfoo, and various others.

Promotional packs & Theme Decks
Anyways, quit me rambling (as always!) and we'll take a look at the promotional packs such as the blisters and theme decks. As far as I can gather, only 2 theme decks and blisters have been released so far.

So, firstly we have the theme decks, which are Escavalier and Accelgor. As far as I can find, no information regarding card lists and such for these theme decks have been released yet, and as you will know, theme decks usually have two types. So, I can only gather one type for each deck by the holo cards shown. The Escavalier deck is Steel (+ unknown type), and the Accelgor is Grass (+ unknown type). Of course, these theme decks will come with the usual coin, 60 cards, playmat, rules, checklist, damage counters, and a code card.

Next is the blister pack, which comes with 3 Noble Victories boosters, a sampling pack (of Noble Victories I think, however since it also includes, supposedly, 3 Noble Victories boosters, I find this a little strange. So it may be likely that the boosters are not Noble Victories or it's a sampling pack for yet another upcoming set.) a promo card (Axew, Litwick or Scraggy) and a Victini coin.

So, that's as much as known so far, and I'll post more when I know more! Also, as mentioned at the beginning of this post, there is rumours for a new set, that I found on Bulbapedia, so I may post something about that in a couple of weeks, once there's a little more known.
Stay tuned for an opening being posted this week (not Emerging Powers as promised, sorry!!), and hpoefully an Emerging Powers opening in 2-3 weeks!

Thanks for reading, Poké friends!

Welcome to my new blog!

Hello fellow PokéTubers, and welcome to my brand new blog! Well, fist thing's first; check out my new video!
← In this video, I originally made it to promote this blog, so, I start by promoting it, and then going onto a small beginner's guide to Pokémon and what I recommend buying, whether you're starting as a collector or a player. I also talk about the accessories you may find useful that aren't exactly promoted or created by the Pokémon company, meaning beginner's may not know about them unless they look into accessories.
I am considering making a Beginner's Guide small series, where I talk about things such as how to play, and possibly a little more on protecting your cards, more as a collector than a player. However, I still have my small doubts, so if you could comment on this blog or the video and let me know of your thoughts and if you think it's a good idea or you may be interested in watching, that would help me decide much better. After all, these videos are for you guys!!

So, I'm still not exactly sure what I'll be posting here, so, again, please comment to let me know your suggestions and what you would like to see! I'm sure I'll think of something later, however for now, all I really have in mind is promoting my videos and getting you updated on what my next pack openings will be, what I'm considering doing, etcetera, etcetera.

As I mention in the above video, I have the next few weeks planned with a few openings... Next week I will hopefully have a Vicitini Box, and the following week, possibly an Emerging Powers blister. After that, I'm not sure whether to carry on a little with Black & White (sine I'm trying to complete the set), one or two videos with Emerging Powers openings, or something from another set (I'm liking the Lugia Poster Pack and B&W Preview tins at the moment)!

So, that's all for now, and stay tuned for more blog updates and videos, and don't forget to subscribe to this blog and my YouTube channel!

Thanks a bunch for your support,
